The Reserve team play in the Somerset Senior League Division 2 (West).
They are managed by Derek Matthews, which helps with developing promising youngsters as he also runs the Under 18s side. Derek is assisted by Glyn Young in his second spell as number two with this team, having assisted Paul White two years ago.
The Reserves are regarded in the club as an extension of the First Team squad and much interaction between the two sides exists
Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
